Intro to Tech
If you are not a technical diver and are wishing to access the deeper depths of the sea, or stay at regular depths longer with no decompression stops or shorten your decompression stops you will make good use of this course on your path of becoming a technical diver.
With this course, you will earn the preliminary knowledge necessary for technical divers such as technical equipment configurations, to enhance open water diving skills (such as buoyancy, trim, and situational awareness), and to introduce students to advanced gas planning techniques within a no-decompression context.
Includes 3 dives must be conducted; All dives must be conducted at depths within the diver’s current level of certification but no dives should exceed 23 metres
Prerequisites:
- Minimum age 18, (15 with parental consent)
- Minimum certification an Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent
- Provide proof of 25 logged open water dives
Intro to Tech may be combined with TDI Advanced Nitrox.

ENTRY LEVEL COURSES
SSI e-Learning
We teach our courses according to SSI – Scuba Schools International – standards. On the website of SSI (www.divessi.com) you can inform yourself about all the courses on offer. If you decide to take an SSI course with us during your stay in Sicily, we recommend that you do the SSI online training to study the theory in advance, which can be done from the comfort of your home. As soon as you register for the course, we will activate your account for the online theory at SSI (without extra charge). This way you’ll have more time for diving practice, fun and relaxation during your vacation.
ADVANCED LEVEL COURSES
Improve your diving skills and experience at Zingaro Diving Center under the professional and friendly guidance of our instructors. In the advanced diver training program you can choose from a variety of Advanced and Specialty courses. We are happy to advise you individually. The SSI Specialty programs are the ideal way to improve your current skills and learn new ones.
Once you have completed a certain number of specialty programs and logged a certain number of dives, you will automatically receive the Specialty Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver or Master Diver certification cards. For your diving stay in Sicily we recommend the specialties Deep Diving, Enriched Air Nitrox, Sidemount, Wreck Diving and Scooter / DPV Diving. For all courses you can complete the theory in advance via the SSI online training.

In anticipation of your course, you will be requested to undertake some self-study prior to your initial classroom session. This self-study, whether in the form of a manual with knowledge reviews or e-learning, will set the groundwork for your learning experience. Regardless of the chosen method, a theory lesson will be conducted, marking the commencement of your training journey.
Theory, class, and equipment sessions are always conducted before advancing to any confined or open water training. Throughout the entire process, you will consistently be trained to the highest possible standards. This commitment remains unwavering, irrespective of the duration required for completion. Emphasising the importance of thorough preparation, we ensure that theory and practical aspects are covered comprehensively to instill confidence and competency.

Padi Deep Diver

A sidemount configuration (scuba tanks alongside of the diver) offers more flexibility, better streamlining options and less backproblems. Just enter the water, clip your cylinders on and go!
To enroll in the PADI Sidemount Diver Specialty course, you must be at least 15 years old and be a PADI Open Water Diver.
During your dives, a lot of attention will be put into your trim, buoyancy control and finning techniques.
